22nd March

2010/03/22

Late morning,

after the rain.

Joyous birds,

deprived of their morning greetings,

are noisily making up their lost time.

Bathed in sunlight for awhile,

the plants are now

anointed by the rain,

to show their greener selves.

Puddles everywhere,

balming breeze,

freshly washed Earth.

Tree buds, temporarily tamed

from releasing their microscopic

miseries.

Everything is clean, orderly

transformed,

and the sounds so sweet.

It does sound sweet. Clean, orderly, and transformed sounds wonderful. I wonder if that is why I want to clean everything out in the spring? To be transformed…

I love this. Captured the moment brilliantly. Seems like you are beginning to find your voice…

Mother Earth, doing her own version of spring housecleaning!

    Lovely….

Thanks, Ma’am. It is a great time of year. The past winter was so harsh, it makes spring especially nice this year.

Thank you, Gerardine. I was hoping you would see it. I felt a kinship with you when it showed itself to my heart, because I was walking Elsie at the time.
